Imlil is a mountain village at 1,740 m, at the end of the road that leads to Mount Toubkal. It is the base for most Toubkal treks, but you do not need to be a mountaineer to enjoy it. The valley around it is full of easy paths between walnut and cherry trees and stone villages built into the slope.

On this day trip a certified local mountain guide leads a walk of 2 to 3 hours, adapted to your group. You visit the village of Aroumd, cross the river, and stop for lunch on the terrace of a Berber family home with views up to the peaks.

On the way back you can stop at Asni, whose Saturday souk is one of the most authentic markets near Marrakech.
